The Italian market

Benati was the second-largest producer of earthmoving machines in Italy, after FIAT. The commercial network was so deeply developed that allowed Benati to become the third-biggest seller of earthmoving machines in Italy, behind two massive corporations such as FIAT and Caterpillar; and to keep a 10% market share throughout the 1980's.

The earthmoving machines costumer had a deeper involvement with the company, more a true commercial, technical and financial consultancy (also regarding managing of the  sale contracts), rather than a than a mere purchasing.

It was mainly for the Italian Market that Benati specialized in the production of special machines for underground works, railroads, waste compacting, wooden mass and ferrous waste transportation, and demolition of buildings.
